PC Mobile Video Application :
Q. What do I need to broadcast video to Cell phones?
  A. In order to broadcast live video from your PC to cell phones, you need:
- The Logitech Mobile Video Application
- A Logitech web camera
- Windows 98 or higher
- A connection to the Internet (28.8k minimum dial-up, DSL, cable, etc.)
 
Q. How do I get the Logitech Mobile Video Application?
A. There are several ways to get the Logitech Mobile Video application, mainly, you can download the desktop application from our download link, or the desktop software is included with the CD software shipped with your Logitech web cams.
1. Install it from the Logitech ImageStudio software CD version 7.3 and above, which accompanies all new Logitech cameras.
2. Download the program from here.
3. Respond to the Logitech Desktop Messenger when you receive a notice regarding Logitech Mobile Video. For this option, you must have the Logitech Desktop Messenger Agent enabled. The agent may have been installed at the same time you installed the camera software.
 
 
Q. Does it cost me anything to broadcast my video to cell phones?
A. No, broadcasting to cell phones is free.  
 
Q. What happens if I choose to broadcast my video “publicly”?

A. If you choose to broadcast your video publicly, your camera is accessible to anyone who visits www.logitechmobilevideo.com and/or anyone who adds your username onto their Friends list. You will not be notified if a user enters your name onto their Friends list; however, you will be notified if they start to view your video. You can also remove them from the list of viewers.

1. In the Logitech Mobile Video application, click the Viewers button on the status bar.
2. Highlight the viewer you want to remove.
3. Click the Remove button.
4. Click the Close button.

If you ever want to switch to a private broadcast, open the Logitech Mobile Video Application, click the Settings button, and choose the option for Private.

 
 
Q. What happens if I choose to broadcast my video “privately”?
A. If you choose to broadcast your video privately, the Logitech mobile video program will prompt you to enter a password. People who want to view your video from their cell phones will be required to enter that password before viewing.

If you want to switch to a private broadcast, open the Logitech mobile video program, click the Settings button, and choose the option for “Public”.
 
 
Q. Can I remove/block users that are viewing my web camera?
A. Yes. Simply click on the “Viewers” button on the status bar and select the user you would like to remove from the list that appears. Click “Remove”, then “Close.” Video from your web camera will stop transmitting to that user's cell phone.  
 
Q. Not sure which version of QuickCam software you are running?
  • Open your start menu
  • Open My Computer
  • Open your "C:" drive Folder
  • Open Program Files Folder
  • Open Logitech Folder
  • Open QuickCam Folder
  • Right click on QuickCam.exe file
  • Click on properties in pull down menu
  • Click on Version tab

Any thing numbered equal to or higher than version 10.0.0 is compatible.

Q. What do I need to view live video from my cell phone?
A. In order to view live video from Logitech web cameras on your cell phone you will need the following:

- Check to see if your wireless carrier supports Logitech Mobile Video on their phones.
- The Logitech Mobile Video Application software which can be downloaded to the phone over the air.

 
Q. - Do I need to have a web cam in order to watch live video on my cell phone?
A. No, you can view live video from the cameras that appear when you login, or any of your friends or family members who own Logitech web cams.  
Q. How do I add more cameras to my list of Friends?
A. If you know the camera name, open the Options menu from within the Logitech Mobile Video application and choose “Add friend”.  
Q. How can I find more live cameras to add to my Friends List?
A. To view all of the available public cameras that you can add to your Friends list, visit www.logitechmobilevideo.com. You can browse through our public categories for live content that interests you.  
Q. How much does it cost to use the Logitech Mobile Video application on my cell phone?
A. There is a monthly rate according to your wireless carrier, and the charges will show up on your monthly bill statement.  
 
Q. How do I get the Logitech Mobile Video Application on my phone?
A. Your wireless carrier makes it very easy to download the Logitech Mobile Video application to your phone over the air. Just check the catalog on your phone and look for the Logitech Mobile Video application and just download it. It's simple and easy!  
 
Q. Can I use the same username and password on the cell phone that I use on the PC version of Logitech Mobile Video?
A. Yes, when registering to use Logitech Mobile Video on the cell phone, you can enter any username and password that is not already in use by another registered cell phone user. You can also enter in a separate username and password.  
   
Q. How do I know if a Friend’s camera is online?
A. Once you log in, a “Friends” list will appear. If your friend’s camera is online, an illuminated light bulb will appear next to your friend’s name.
 
 
Q. How do I report violations of the Code of Conduct?
A. To report violations of the Code of Conduct, please send an email to LMVAbuse@logitech.com. This will open an immediate investigation of the show contents. All cameras that publish inappropriate content will lose publishing privileges. See our Code of Conduct under Privacy.
